ANNSGATE EMERGENCY ACCOMODATION FACILITY
WHAT IS ANNSGATE
Annsgate is a ten bed, women only, emergency accommodation facility based in the centre of Belfast. It provides short term nightly shelter and support for homeless women from anywhere in Northern Ireland. All the women staying at Annsgate will be homeless with many being Chronically Homeless i.e., having repeat episodes of homelessness with multiple and complex needs such as addiction, poor physical and mental health and trauma.
Two support workers are on shift each night from 6.00pm to 8.30am when Annsgate opens and closes.

OUR AIM
Our overall aim is to support the women who stay at Annsgate to move on to more secure housing, such as a temporary hostel, return to family or their own independent accommodation. To achieve this aim Annsgate’s objectives are to:
Provide a safe and welcoming place to sleep at night.
To provide basic needs i.e. food, warmth, laundry and washing facilities.
To provide the opportunity to link in with other services providing housing related support such as, housing, health and benefits.
