How we help

Activity groups and life-skills programmes

Although our ultimate aim is to get people into paid employment, we also provide life skills training and confidence-building opportunities which can help in the process of developing healthier lifestyles.

To that end we offer a range of meaningful activities which give people something positive and enjoyable to do.  We believe this is a vital part of the transition because it helps in building self-esteem, developing skills and joining a valuable social circle away from the streets.

Activities currently on offer:

  • The Welcome Boat project (yes we own our own traditional rowing boat!) which offers opportunities to experience boat maintenance, sailing, fishing and involvement with Belfast’s numerous nautical festivals
  • Street Gems crafts programme which includes  jewellery making, art, knitting, sewing etc
  • Tree of Life – woodcraft and Art programme
  • Outdoor activities – football, pursuit weekends, day trips
  • Cooking and baking classes
  • Client volunteer programmes

Open from 8am to 10pm, 365 days of the year. Contact us now on:
